my first actual work day of vaca. Wish I could have slept longer but I couldn’t get back to sleep after mrrad got up. Oh well. A few chores/errands today and the rest of the day lies before me to be explored as I would like to.

I’ve forgotten about posting on this goal. The laugh today. Mrrad gets out of the shower, hurrying to get ready to leave for rehearsal. He says “I’m in a hurry, I used the car wash. All I could think about was him strapped to the roof of car while it was going through the car wash. Have you seen the febreeze commercial with the chair on top of the car? I could see mrrad in his lazy-boy strapped to the top of the car going thru the carwash.

FTF Sunday August 29th

I slept for close to 12 hours last night because of the medication I took for my sciatica. I’m still a little light headed this morning (not a big fan of too much of that medication). Its a beautiful day today.

FTF Weekend of August 20th

Awesome gig last night by mrrad’s band. Everything was cooking, except that he broke a drum head. A quick trip home and all was well. The trip home yesterday was awful. The family (3 of whom were sitting in front of me in first class) decided it was a good idea to give their 3 yo a strawberry frappachino right before the flight. He spilled half of it and then vomited the rest of it during take-off. So the first class cabin (and my seatmate and myself in particular) were able to enjoy the aroma of strawberry vomit. What were these people thinking? Poor kid. Misguided parents. Then it was a 105 minute drive home from the airport. Another accident. Second time this week that I had allowed plenty of time to get where I was going and then barely made my appointment because of a crash. OK. I’m done ranting. Should be a laid back week-end I hope.

We have decided that this year, instead of going to a new island and staying in an unknown hotel, we will go back to our favorite hotel on the Big Island – and we were surprised to learn that our soon-to-be 13 yo nephew and his aunt will be at the neighboring hotel during our stay.

FTF Weekend of August 7th

Have been feeling very tired and not entirely well this week. I actually did not travel at all this week, which was great, but am still not up to snuff. Mrrad’s gig last night was great and since we did not have a lot of friends or family there, I didn’t have to act as hostess/social butterfly. Only a few things on the agenda this weekend. I could use the down time since I’m back on the road again next week.
