Five Thirty Eleven

Uneventful travel to Toronto today for the very last time—at least it isn’t snowing this time.

Five Twenty-Nine Eleven

I did nothing today, not even getting out of my pajamas.

Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful.

Five Twenty-Eight Eleven

It was fun to do the band photo shoot yesterday, but I wish I had more time and better weather.

Five Twenty-Seven Eleven

I was hoping to dodge a bullet and not travel to Toronto next week but it doesn’t look like that is going to be the case.

Five Twenty-Seven Eleven

It is so nice to not have to travel this week—and potentially not next week either!

First time to check out the pool

052011 06

Zora is more of a water dog than Kona, but not completely into water. She loves to bite the water and she did slowly get all four legs into the pool in an effort to get to the rubber duckie. She was just so funny. I have video too!

Five Eighteen Eleven

It has been six months today that my dear Kona left us—still so sad even though Zora is bringing joy into our hearts again.

Five Sixteen Eleven

Everytime I think its just me, I learn that its not—I feel like the canary in the coal mine.

What's up with this?

Princess Zora developed a sudden fear of the bird, Phoenix, today. I have not a clue about what happened. Early this morning when mrrad took Phoenix out and put him on his perch for his morning banana. Suddenly she wouldn’t come near mrrad or the bird. Then she was fine. This afternoon after we uncovered the bird from his nap she wouldn’t go near him and hid under a chair in the living room. What the heck? Any one ever hear of such a thing?

A broken entry door injured my arm so now I get to do the whole workers comp thing.

Five Eleven Eleven

Going through tens of thousands of emails to gather information for the attorneys is BORING—its a trip down memory lane that I am not enjoying because it wasn’t that much fun the first time.

The Ludwig spokesmodel

Zora is changing so quickly. Her face is getting wider and now she is getting hips (it sucks being a girl sometimes). She is coming out of her shell and is not quite so skittish. She has crawled into our hearts in less than a month.

Five Four Eleven

Zora is 10 months old today—and I negotiated an offer for a new job.

Five Three Eleven

Being the consummate professional that I am, I went to the meeting and brought my A game even though I wanted to run and hide.

Zora is going to be the new spokesdog for Ludwig drums-her e she is posing with mrrad’s newly acquired vintagedrum kit-the same age as his very first kit.

It was a grooming kind of day.

Zora had her first bath (by me) today. She put her tail between her legs, hunched her back and tried to hide in the corner of the wash tub at Pet Food Express. She looked like she was being tortured. Her favorite part of being dried off is having her face rubbed. Kona loved that too. I didn’t use the drier cuz that would probably really freak her out. When we were done, we walked thru the store and purchased a few things (including a blow-up e-collar for her spay this week—the big cone of silence really bother her). When we got home, she let me brush her and let me brush her teeth. The only thing I didn’t do was clip her toenails. I will have the vet do that when she is out. Her torn off nail is healing but I bet she will be a little fearful of toe nail cuts right now.

Such a pretty girl. In this photo I can just hear her saying “I don’t need a bath, really.”
